We know that for many entrepreneurs, their business is the largest and most public form of self-expression they have. It`s like their work of art, no different than any artist or craftsman. Entrepreneurs have much of their identities and self-esteem attached to the success of their ventures. Entrepreneurs have a lot more than their life savings tied up in their businesses, so when they seek out the help of a marketing firm, there is a lot riding on the investment.
As an entrepreneur, the success of your marketing and sales programs can mean the success or failure of your businesses. A failure to communicate with prospective clients, at best is a costly mistake and at worst can be the end of the line. Most entrepreneurs cannot afford to fail at marketing, and yet many do.
Unfortunately, many business owners are not well versed in sales or marketing. A lack of familiarity means that they must trust people to guide them through unfamiliar territory that is more strange, unfamiliar and expensive than they realize. Entrepreneurs must trust people to think like they do, like business owners; not just like writers, designers or programmers. Unfortunately this does not always happen.

The last thing an owner needs is to hire people that do what they tell them to do. This is the blind following the blind off a cliff. They need leaders to guide them, who have the same objectives, just with different expertise. Entrepreneurs need to hire people who understand that success is not just getting the project done on time or winning awards; success is the on-going profitable growth of your company.
