Being Profitable™ is a "how-to" market readiness program for entrepreneurs.
- For startups the program is a pre-business plan system that helps you define your business in clear and specific terms. It helps you clearly map out how you intend to generate new sales at a profit.
- For existing business owners considering investing in marketing, the program helps you do exactly the same thing. The only difference is you already have an operating business and you have real data to support and improve your forecasts.
In either case, the program focuses you on how you intend to generate profitable first sales that drive business growth.
Often business owners becomes overly focused on operations and do not pay sufficient attention to where new sales are going to come from and at what cost. This program addresses this issue head on. In addition, once you complete the program, you will have already prepared much of what you need for a formal business plan, making that process much easier, less time consuming and expensive. What Is Provided?
The Being Profitable™: Core Essentials edition is a series of 12 workbook modules. The first 6 modules focused on generating clarity of intention and customer relevance. These modules lead you through the core messaging and sales logistics that clearly define your business in customer terms; getting you ready to make profitable first sales.
The second set of 6 modules focus on strategy which ultimately serves to generate confidence and commitment to move forward with an action plan. These modules focus on sales effectiveness, campaign and program logistics, economic viability, budgeting and forecasting.
Once through the core essentials modules, you will be ready to engage and direct your marketing team to implement a well conceived and integrated sales and marketing program.
Being Profitable™ is offered in four formats:
1. Do It Yourself Program
The do it yourself version of Being Profitable™ is where you simply buy the coaching modules and work through the program yourself, with your team or with your existing business advisors. We simply sell you the materials and make ourselves available on an hourly basis to offer you on-site, telephone coaching or consulting as you feel necessary. With your purchase, we include the first two hours of coaching to help get you started.

2. A Coaching Program
The coaching version of Being Profitable™ is designed to be a step by step how to program. Our goal is to assist you in working through the process yourself. This approach has the benefit of costing the least (because you are doing most of the work). The downside to this approach is that it tends to take longer to work through, due to your learning curve and because we work through the material in a more structured and sequential manner. We believe that you stand to benefit the most from this process, as you will gain the most clarity and confidence and become better able to lead your marketing program, by working through the process personally.
3. A Group Training Program
We periodically offer Being Profitable™ in a group training format to groups of 6 to 16 entrepreneurs or department managers. The program normally takes 3 months to complete and has the added benefit of peer coaching to enhance the experience for all involved. We offer the program in both live and virtual-classroom formats. 4. A Consulting ProgramOur consulting business essentially follows the Being Profitable™ program curriculum only in a more ad hoc manner. Our team takes a more hands on approach, doing as much of the core work for you as we can. This is the fastest and most flexible way to get you through the program. The main benefit of this approach is that we push aggressively to plan and execute in short succession.
