Accrue is a full-service internet marketing and business coaching firm, founded in June 2006. Accrue's purpose is to help entrepreneurs grow companies. We help get them started, get them on-line, generating sales leads, get connected, become easy to find, relevant, compelling and easy to buy from.

We help entrepreneurs become competent leaders of marketing programs. We help people build and operate sales lead generation and inbound marketing programs.
What’s at the core of your business – The Big Idea?
Our big idea is that powerful self-expression drives sustainable earnings growth.
The power in your self-expression (how you present your company) comes first from authenticity (being true to one’s self), and second from the appreciation expressed by your target audience. Without audience appreciation, your expression lacks power, and without authenticity from you, there is nothing legitimate for clients to appreciate. This idea is the essence of “powerful self-expression”.
“Rapid sustainable growth” is possible when business development efforts generate new sales at a profit. If sales to new clients are not profitable it is difficult to grow sustainably.
These two ideas are central to our service practice.
Who are your primary clients?
We service leaders of progressive companies committed to generating at least 20% annual growth. Our services are most suited for innovative companies with high-value, high-margin products or services who sell direct to their clients (businesses or consumers).
Our clients tend to fall into the following categories: a wide variety of professional services practices, real estate developments, travel and tourism, high-end manufacturers, internet businesses, financial services, wealth management, private health care and not-for-profit organizations.

Clients come to us for our expertise in on-line sales lead generation, inbound marketing, Internet marketing, our strategic small business consulting services and our Being Profitable™ market readiness program.
Do you focus on certain geographical markets?
Not really, we are well setup to serve English speaking companies anywhere with reliable high-speed internet services.
How is Accrue different?
Accrue is different in that we are focused on sales lead generaton and inbound marketing for small to mid-sized businesses. We are also program focused versus project focused which means we focus on making things perform, rather than just building them. The role we play with clients is as their fractional director of marketing.
What are your core innovations?
Our core innovations are:
Our Being Profitable™ program. It is a market readiness program, meaning we focus on helping entrepreneurs get ready to market successfully. Mostly by stepping entrepreneurs through the process, helping them take control over a very important and high risk investment.
Our second innovation is our process for controlling advertising investments. We are very committed to tracking performance at each stage of the sales and marketing process, then refining our creative and business processes to maximize returns.
What is the lead product?
Our lead product is called Being Profitable™: the earnings growth program. Being Profitable™ is our proprietary process for leading companies quickly and powerfully through the pre-marketing process. Being Profitable™ enables entrepreneurs to confidently invest in the front-end business processes that drive earnings growth.
How do clients benefit?
The primary benefits that existing companies gain are speed to market, cost savings and increased control over a high risk investment (sales, marketing and advertising).

Who’s leading the company?
Accrue is lead by John Watson.
John Watson is the president of Accrue Performance Marketing Inc. and is the author of Being Profitable™ - the earnings growth program. John has been a consultant since 1995. He specializes in helping entrepreneurs build inbound sales lead generation programs. Technically his focus spans business coaching, strategic planning, sales logistics, database marketing, search marketing, web analytics and leadership development. John was the VP Strategy at Rare Method Interactive, and President of Advanced Information Marketing Inc. John is a serial entrepreneur who lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Where did the name Accrue come from?
Accrue means to increase or to accumulate. It is also an accounting term most CEOs and CFOs are familiar with i.e. accruals accounting. The name Accrue was meant to highlight our focus on results or more specifically profitable sales and earnings growth.
